Visitors to report to Forestry Department Office on arrival.

Facilities and fees:
Recreation (Entrance fee): 20Ksh per adult, 5Ksh per child
Accommodation:
Guest House: 385Ksh per person per night (Forestry Dept.)
Camping: 225Ksh per night (Forestry Dept.)
Bandas (KEEP): 500Ksh per person per night
Guiding (per person per walk, tip extra): 300Ksh (day time), 500Ksh (sunrise) 500Ksh (night time)
Max of 6 persons per guided walk (larger groups will be divided between 2 or more guides)
Canopy Tree House (Tower Hide): ¾ finished but already in use

Guides to the forest:
A number of trained guides are available from both KABICOTOA (Kakamega Biodiversity Conservation Operators Association) and KEEP (Kakamega Environmental Education Programme).
(Guides can usually be found waiting at the junction near the MENR signpost at Isecheno).

Transport
Nissan (matatu) between Kakamega and Shinyalu.
Single fare: 60Ksh per person each way.

Boda boda transport available between Shinyalu and Isecheno.
1 passenger per bicycle, luggage can travel on separate bicycle(s)
Single fare: 70Ksh or 80Ksh per boda boda from Shinyalu to Forest Guest House, or vice versa.
